I’m Tim. My friends and I have been playing RPGs for nearly a decade now. We’ve been taking it in turns to be the DM, but until now I have only been a player. But now the power is MINE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! <cackles at the sky>.

My beautify d20s, two black, and two matching white. All of them glitter like rainbows in light. Since I’m playing other systems than D&D I don’t know how much use they’ll be So this blog is me showing my working, and having somewhere to think about doing better. Broadly speaking I’m going to aim to introduce each campaign, each session and wash-up each campaign and each session. There are going to be a few of them as we have decided that we’re going to try some different systems. We’ve all enjoyed D&D immensely, but I have a whole heap of different ones that we want to try.

In no particular order:

  • Wrath and Glory (WH40k)
  • Cyberpunk: Red
  • Mass effect (5e)
  • Monster of the week
  • Cypher system
    • Old Gods of Appalachia
    • A spy/alien invasion thriller
  • Salvage Union (mechs)
  • City of mist
  • Triangle agency
  • Mothership
  • If we get time:
    • Rivers of London
    • The laundry files
    • Delta green
    • More cyphers
    • Dune
    • Various world of darkness

The idea is to do them in smaller chunks than 4-5 years which is what our previous campaigns have been. The plan is 3 months and if enjoyment is universal then we carry on. If not we move over to a new system no hard feelings. Its a big cognitive load and my total experience of DMing is three one shots (that admittedly people have loved) but a campaign is a different beast. But as we said in my improv days “BALLS OF STEEL* HEAR ME CLANG!”

Peace, out. Tim.
